Novara serves Northern Italian inspired food in a cool building right off of I-93 in Milton, MA. I was invited to try their pizza and Sunday brunch buffet, which is full of cheesy, carby options to make your wildest dreams come true.
I loaded my plate up with crispy bacon, maple syrupy breakfast sausage, quattro formaggio tortellini, a tender meatball, and generous helpings from their buffet’s cheese and charcuterie boards.
My boyfriend tried more of the traditional breakfast options, including Nutella french toast, and caprese eggs benedict with prosciutto, mozzarella, and basil. He also tried out the make your own Bloody Mary bar, where you can get the drink for only $5 with brunch!
To wrap up our brunch buffet gluttony, we grabbed some desserts from the buffet. I tried a macaron for the first time ever, which had a sweet layer of jam and melted in my mouth. My favorite from the dessert spread were the red velvet cake pops, because white chocolate is my favorite and the cake was super sweet and decadent.
While they do have cheese pizza as part of the Sunday brunch buffet, I was especially craving their meatball pizza. It’s even tastier than it looks, with tender sliced meatballs, roasted tomatoes, mascarpone, and a delicious basil aioli. The thin crust was crispy and cooked perfectly well-done.
All-around, the brunch and this meatball pizza were really really good, and I can’t wait to eat the leftovers for dinner. I’ll definitely be coming back to Novara for more pizza soon – hopefully we get patio season sooner than later, because they’ve got an awesome one!
