Ideally, every kitchen should have both a wooden pizza peel and a metal pizza peel. The wooden pizza peel is better for making the pizza on top of, and then launching your pizza onto your Baking Steel or pizza stone.
Make sure the peel is adequately floured & the pizza is able to shimmy before you attempt your launch!
