Bertucci’s Has Stepped Up Their Game With These Fancy New Pizzas

When Bertucci’s first announced their new limited time menu of new pizzas inspired by Chef Rosario’s trips to Italy, I was psyched. A few of their new pizzas are literally pizzas that I’ve been wishing for years that they would put on their menu. All of them do a great job showcasing how great Bertucci’s pizzas are when they’re at the top of their game. Throughout the afternoon, our food was paired with Antinori wines that were hand-selected by Chef Rosario. Here are some of my favorites!

This first pizza above, the fire roasted zucchini, is an absolute delight. Getting my veggies in is always a struggle, except when they’re smothered in cheese. This pizza pairs the zucchini with fresh mozzarella, pecorino romano, basil, and a cream sauce. I mean… just look at it. *swoon*

The Tucci Polpette pizza has huge meatballs, roasted mushrooms, peppers, & onions, and a generous helping of freshly grated pecorino romano cheese.

Bertucci’s new Melanzana pizza combines their plum tomato sauce with roasted eggplant & mozzarella. Eggplant parm lovers, this one is obviously for you!

This is the Burrata Bruschetta pizza. *record scratch* Yes, BURRATA pizza at Bertucci’s! The pizza is rounded out with tomatoes, pesto, and a balsamic glaze.

Last but not least, my favorite out of all of Bertucci’s new pizzas was the Fig-Prosciutto-Zola. The name pretty much says it all, but this also happens to be one of my favorite pizza topping combinations ever. What can I say, I’m a sucker for gorgonzola (the stinkier, the better.) This pizza has a cream sauce and is touched off with a pinch of parsley.

Of course, it’s not a meal with Chef Rosario unless I get to also make my own pizza. Since I’ve done it a few times before, my friend tried her hand at it and happily found that it’s not as hard as it looks! We decided on a combination of pepperoni, ricotta, and plenty of mozzarella, and she nailed the pizza toss into the oven to get it baked to perfection.

Are you hungry yet? Which one of these pizzas do you want to try? You can check out Bertucci’s full seasonal menu here.
